Still in the motel scene today. We had to change motels though last night cause we needed carpet in our room!  So we are now at Quality Inn.  Pretty nice....it's more comfy so we are happy. :)  I so still want to be home though.   

Yesterday we went home for Aaron to work on the plumbing part and get that out of the way and I cleaned, dishes and clothes.  yuck!  I love things clean but sometimes hate doing things to get to that point.  Someones gotta do it though.  We had to go and get all the stuff for the plumbing so I thought we should probably wash our big comforter at the laundry mat while we are out since it was right on the way and not to mention it has been sitting down in the basement for about a week now, then we could just swing back by and pick it up when we were done at Home Depot.  So we did.  Well while we (Skylee, Charlie and I) were waiting for Aaron to go in and get the comforter Charlie let out this long, loud LAUGH!  It was great!!! :)  I asked Skylee what she was doing to make him laugh and she said "nothing"....he was laughing in his sleep.  It was so cute.  He has laughed a bunch before but not like this. So I am calling it his 1st real laugh while sleeping. :)  

So today we got up early to take Skylee to catch the bus at our house.  Jaron was still at his gma's so we had to go get him and take him to his dr appt and then take Aaron to his..he was getting a tooth pulled. Well we get to Jay's dr and they say he wasn't on the schedule...they must have forgotten to put him on their. :(  No biggie, we just rescheduled...can't get him in now though until Dec. 3.  So he stayed home from school for nothing.  

So now on to Aaron's.  He got the tooth pulled and came out with all these scripts...4 of them!  So we stopped by Walmart to get them filled and here we are back at the hotel waiting to go get Skylee from off the bus and meet our landlord at 5 to see when our bathroom can be done.  So that's that for now....

I'm back with an update....
We talked to our landlord and he is gonna let Aaron  do all the work for the bathroom and give us 2 months free rent for payment of it.  So December and January=no rent! Yay!!!!  Aaron is gonna start on it tomorrow and have the shower part ready so that when we get back from Columbus it will be ready to use.  He has 2 days to work on it cause we leave early Thursday morning....Thanksgiving day!  He says he can get it finished....I really hope so! :)

A Memory A Day....

Last night as I said we came to the Quality Inn to stay instead of staying at Motel 6 again.  Skylee, Charlie and I waited in the car while Aaron went in to get a room for us.  Skylee was super excited that we were staying in a hotel again and this time one with a swimming pool.  As I saw her excitement it brought me back to when I was a kid...I told her that I use to feel the same way.  I said "Mama remembers being in your "seat" and gma being in mine and gpa in daddy's."  She didn't quite understand so I explained.  It all just took me back to happier times with my family. Whether it was going to Disney, Nashville Indiana, Gatlinburg Tennessee, Vermont, or Hershey Park, they were family vacations that I will hopefully never forget!

I really miss my childhood.  My parents always made it a great time for us.  My dad worked super hard at his job and my mom with us kids and later with a job too.  So today's memory of my dad going to check in to our hotel while my mom, my brother and sister and I waited in the car anxiously will stay with me forever! Love and miss you tons Dad!
